This was a good month, full of ups and some downs that i just cant ignore. During this month I tried some new products and looked back to my all time favorites like Kerastase shampoo. This product was in my bath shelf as long as I can remember myself. I probably had all different kinds but in February I went for Aura Botanica Bain Micellaire shampoo. My hair was feeling really dull coming from the winter month and I wanted a gentle care for it. I love that this shampoo has Samoan Coconut Oil and Moroccan Aragon Oil. This oils are known for its nourishing effect on our hair fiber. And lets talk about the sweet orange essence. We all know how much I love citrus scent.
My another favorite is a eight hour moisturizing hand treatment. I know that my mom always uses Elizabeth Arden products, and one of them is the hand cream and let me tell you her hands are the softest hands that i have ever touched. Everything else is new on my favorites list. I always LOVED wrap blouses but sometimes they can be tricky and open up in the most inconvenient moment. So when I first mat this pink blush colored satin blouson I didn't know what kind of relationship will we have but couldn't resist to buy it. Turned out that this blouse by **** was literally made for me. I cant tell you how many times I have styled this beautiful blouse up and down during the month of February. Speaking of the beautiful blouse, I wore it in combination with my now favorite trousers and some amazing chunky hills. Like many women I have worked a 9-5 job before and I know the struggle with a strict wardrobe choices. Especially when it comes to shoes and trousers. And I think i found the perfect pair. I no longer hold a strict business attire for work. but i do still love a good pair or comfortable trousers of perfect length and a good hug in all the right places. And when it comes to shoes, thats where i allowed my fashion statement peace to show. This shoes are incredibly comfortable despite its high heal. I always look for a statement shoe that could complete my outfit for the office with a little more class. Statement pieces can be any part of your outfit, but this month I had three in my wardrobe. The red “confidence” lipstick by Loreal. Its literally my favorite red lipstick. There is just something so lady like about red lips (be on a look out for Red Lips post in March). I love the pop of color especially when i wear all black or nude. as well as 2018 is all about monochromatic look and i have styled an all red outfit this past month completing the look with a bold red lip. Another statement piece that I had this month are these hoop earring that are gold with a silver detail from Zara. I saw them in a youtube video by Naomi Boyer and made a purchase. But I haven't even unpacked them till this February. I was late to an event and was rushing out the door, but couldn't find any earrings that would fit my casual chick look, and magically found these and ever since iv been popping them on for every occasion. And finally the most important one. THE CHLOE perfume. I usually have a liking to really heavy scented perfume. but chloe Eue de Parfume was a nice surprise. the scent is so gentle and spring like. Its perfect for work, or date, or even as an everyday perfume. Its definitely a statement piece. If i didn't have a signature perfume already, this definitely would have done the honers. Every once in a while we all catch ourselves in a pickle. Trying to control every little thing that is going on around us, and not knowingly stress ourselves out. I do that all the time. Stress is on my monthly to-do list whether I want it or not. As things come and go dealing with stress is also a struggle of mine. Over my years of busy schedules and crazy to-do lists I came up with 10 simple rules that allow me to avoid stress or deal with it quite fast. Number one: Sleep This one is obvious. If you don’t sleep, you become tired and things won’t go the way you would like them to because you are not fully there. You are not fully there because you didn’t sleep. Now you can’t sleep because you have to play catch up with your assignments and life and so on and so on. I know it’s a crazy circle that has no ending... and honestly just results in huge procrastination moment that leads to stress. Well my solution is simple ... at least 8 hours of rest. Try to wine down in the end of the day and not bring any of your work or stressful thoughts with you to the bed. That should be a place of calm and happy thoughts. Usually an hour before bed I try to dedicate to treating myself. Washing my face from makeup, brushing my hair, lighting up a candle, maybe reading a book or watching a favorite show with my Husband. It’s just that time to let your brain recharge and relax. I tell myself “It’s late at night so I can’t go anywhere, I can’t call no one, meaning that I need to let the situation go till tomorrow morning”. This allows me to relax knowing that I did everything I could and that tomorrow is a new day.
Number 6: NO “What If” I’m the queen of “what if?” situations. And I know that I lead myself to a burning corner with no escape and no solution. Instead of helping myself deal with a stresses, I destroy myself and add anxiety and emotion. Focusing on NOW!! On what is actually going on. Is the way to go! That way you could build batter results. Because let’s be honest no matter how much you “what if” the situation the reality is always different. You can’t predict every possible outcome. So just take a step towards solution from what is going on NOW in your stressor at this very moment and then slowly move from that point until the situation is done.
And I’ll tell you, I been there. Five am mornings at my corporate job used to kill me. But luckily I found a solution. Every Sunday night, while watching TV with my husband I think in the back of my head what I have upcoming this week. What I have to do and what I could wear. So an hour or so before bad I go to my closet and choose five outfits for work that I would wear to office. And if I have parties that week or events I do the same thing accordingly to the event as well. I hang it up all in order in my closet and move on to do the same with my undergarments, jewelry, perfume and shoes. Let me tell you mornings where never this stress-free and relaxing before. And finally number 10: Positive Be positive. It’s easier to say then to do but keeping your happy on will really make stress go away so much faster. I know when I’m dealing with stress I love to watch a lot of melodramatic movies while hugging a bucket of ice-cream. Don’t do that to yourself. Watch movies and shows that make you laugh or at least smile. Take a chance and go work out or go on a hike. Fight the urge or procrastination and dedicate at least an hour a day to something you enjoy doing. That’s my ten ways I deal with stress. I truly stick to this rules. I know they are quite simple and probably nothing new. But take a chance and try living through them during a stressful period in your life and you will realize that it actually smoothens a lot of the bumps on your road. As well as helps you to stay productive and deal with stress right there, right now.
